*insert non-commital title here*

Hi everyone. Just posting to let you all know I haven't forgotten about this, I just haven't had the time to post, what with school, and finals coming up. So, here's a funny conversation I had with a friend the other day, to tide you over until after finals. Those of you who follow the lolcat phenomenom (nom nom nom) should get a chuckle out of this.

[23:14] foxbluetail: *laughs myself into a coughing fit*
[23:14] shadowpoint_omega: Woah, careful there.
[23:15] foxbluetail: Blargh... third I've had today.
[23:15] shadowpoint_omega: Yikes.
[23:15] shadowpoint_omega: Get some cough syrup, teah, and some rest.
[23:15] foxbluetail: *nods* I've had the first two.
[23:15] shadowpoint_omega: And some licorich.

[23:16] foxbluetail: Yeah... wants a cheezburger... *raises a paw* Can I haz Cheezburger? *smiles*

More quizzes!

Filler

Just a quote a came up with in the course of my writing, thought y'all might like it :).

"A fight. What is a fight? A contest of abilities, two men competing to see who is the better. But no, that's not quite right. A contest of abilities to be sure, but also a quest to defeat the enemies within. For the true enemy is not the demon in front of you, or the man on the other side of the ring. It's the demons within you fight to conquer." ---Me

Your Hidden Power Is: Earthly

You are sort of childish yet brave. If you get pissed off you become a very strong fighter. You hate seeing the earth die and you use your special powers to save the earth from becoming hell. You are loved by many and hated by few but you only despise those that try and destroy your wonderful earth.

Gem Stone:Emerald Eye Color:Lime Green Hair Color:Brown with green on the bottom tips and it is shoulder length flipped out.

Which Powerpuff Girl are you?
You are Bubbles! You are very sweet and extremely caring. Although sometimes you don't seem like the brightest crayon in the box, you do have your extra brilliant moments once in a while. You can be thought of as the butt of a joke sometimes but when provoked, you can really be tough and you certainly know how to kick butt! You can appear to be a little immature at times but you still are cute and friendly. You are someone everyone needs in their life to show the fun side of things.

A Blogworthy Day

*yawns* What a day. Where to start...?

Well, I suppose it all began me and a friend (Linus, for those of you who know me) decided to go to the latest MTG prerelease. We hooked up with another friend (Alex) to, and went off to the prerelease together.

It was a fun event. I went 2-2 in my flight, which is the best I've ever done (sadly enough). But I made some good deals, and seriously pimped my Saproling deck.

Then, after the prerelease, I had a picnic dinner with my friends, then we went to a party at Voyagers, where we saw a fair number of our friends (not surprising, as that's where I've made most of my friends). And then we played a huge multiplayer game of Magic.

Let me set the scene for you. Enemies to the left of me. Enemies to my right. And in the middle, me, annoying the heck out of everyone with Rhys the Redeemed, Glare of Subdual, various Thallids, and a ton of token creatures. My enemies stare me down. And as they do, I go in for the kill!

Basically, I beat all four other players singlehandedly.

And then I caught a ride home with a friend, and that's how I end up here, telling you all this at well after midnight.

So ... yeah. Mental meltdown. Need ... sleep. Off to bed with me.

G'night y'all.

Alright, you'll notice I've added a couple new items to the page. First of all, you'll notice that on the right, I have adopted cyber pet. It's nothing complex, but if you move the cursor around inside it's environment, it'll follow your cursor around, and just generally be cute.

The other thing you'll notice is that I added a web counter to the bottom of the page, it'll show you which visitor number you are. By the way, if you happen to be visitor number Website Hit Counters, lemme know, you've just won a prize ;).

In other news, today was our first day of sunshine after three days of heavy thunderstorms. There are many more forecasted for the next ten days, so it was good to get out of the house and play some volleyball with my friends. (On a side note, street volleyball is awesome. I's just like regular volleyball, only you substitute a metal fence for the net. It's all the fun of regular volleyball, only there's no struggling with the net.)

So much to do, so little time

Ugh, my schedule's been completely eaten up this summer. Add to that visiting with my friends and my recent obsession with Tales of Symphonia, and I'm left with almost no time to do other stuff. Here's a list of things I need to do:

Help my parents move (which, given I'm still with them for at least another year....)
Reply to all my roleplays
Start my D&D campaign
...and the related manga
Plan a Housewarming Party
Do several pieces of graphic art
Get my computer fixed
Read some manga
Read Cosmos (expand you brain, man!)
Create an entirely new Base 9 number system
Modify several Magic: The Gathering decks
Start several RPs
Play Tales of Symphonia
Play Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Watch anime
Read some webcomics
Make, like, 4 AMVs
Write a sig tutorial

So yeah, my time's pretty full.

P.S.: I may soon change the name of this blog to Shadows of Valhalla. If I do, I'll still keep the same url, but the actual name will be different.

A Midsummer Night's Dream

I went to see A Midsummer Night's Dream tonight, performed by Voyagers (for those of you who don't know, Voyagers is a homeschool co-op I attended for several years (am I the only one who finds a homeschool co-op an oxymoron? Anywho...)).

Now, at first I was disappointed that I wasn't in the play (I had to drop out as college interfered with their schedule), but disappointment quickly gave rise to enjoyment, as they play was very well executed. The Rude Mechanics were especially good, especially Peter, a good friend of mine. He's a real ham.

There were a couple minor glitches, but they only served to make the funny parts even funnier, especially when a piece of scenery nearly fell down ("We're not trying to destroy your house!"). And best of all, everyone had fun. The only thing to really regret was that I got my snacks before they went on sale (4 for a dollar!).

Quotes of the day:

"Thus, thus, thus, thus am I dead, thus am I fled."

"Help! I'm being mugged by fairies!"

Battle of the Bands

So, I went to see the annual Battle of the Bands at MCC College tonight, and boy was it loud! There were 8 bands in total, and each one had 15 minutes to play. As it turned out, an old friend of mine had a band playing in the Battle, which was pretty cool. They're called Nocturnal Sunshine, check them out on Myspace. One of the bands was even giving away free copies of their CD, which I picked up (naturally).

I'd love to give y'all a breakdown of each band, but it's late, and my bed calls to me. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe not. We'll see, once I've got my hearing back.

My Old Blog

Wow.

So here I am, surfing the net as usual. When suddenly I remember an old blog I had, back in 2006. So I go there to check it out, and guess what? It's still there.

So, if any of you are interested in seeing some of my older blog posts, check it out at (http://project-omega.spaces.live.com/). Wow, those were some good posts ... I'd like to start posting like that again. Only, you know, more frequently.

New Mirror Site

So, I've put up a Mirror for this blog on Open Diary (hyperlink! whee!). For those of you who don't know, a Mirror is basically a copy of a website, just in case this one goes down somehow. I made this Mirror for 2 reasons.

1) If Blogger goes down / succumbs to the apocalypse, there will be another site from which to continue the fight.

2) People there actually comment. Hello, is a few words a bit too much to ask?

Anyways, have fun checking out my Mirror Site. Just FYI: I only copied the last few posts from this site. Why? Because I'm lazy, that's why. I don't feel like copy-pasting nearly a year's worth of posts. So there.

Mac & Cheese

Fans of my meatball sub recipe are in for a real treat tonight. I present to you, my recipe for macaroni and cheese, the ultimate comfort food!

INGREDIENTS:
8 oz (approx.) of pasta (shells, by preference)
1 lb chedd-arrrrr cheese, shredded
A bit of Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
1 medium onion, chopped
several cloves of garlic
sun-dried tomatoes in olive oil
Bread crumbs
_____________________________________________

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (or 325, if you're using our stove).
Boil water.
Add pasta to boiling water, accidentally use 12 oz instead of 8.
Cook pasta until done.
Place pasta in a baking dish.
Realize you used way too much pasta, store the remainder for later use.
Add cheese.
Chop up the onion.
The fumes, they burn my eyes!
Add the chopped-up onion, washing hands vigorously afterward.
Add sun-dried tomatoes, and some of the olive oil they came in.
Chop up the garlic, and add it to the mixture.
Open the door to vent the onion fumes.
Get yelled at for 'heating the outdoors'.
Realize the baking dish is too small. Oh well, we'll deal.
Mix everything together, sprinkle bread crumbs on top.
Bake in oven for about an hour, constantly worrying about how it will turn out.
Finally, serve and enjoy.

Shock and Amazement!

What's so exciting, you ask? Is the Large Hadron Collider up and running? Has someone developed a solar panel with 80% efficiency? Have I, the author, finally gotten my hands on a Wii?

No, this is even bigger then that. Today, for the very first time in known history, the MBTA bus actually arrived on time. Not 5 minutes late, and even better, not 5 minutes early. It actually arrived exactly when it was supposed to. I know, amazing, right? Right? My life suddenly feels like it has ... order.

Now if only they can manage to duplicate today's extraordinary feat.

Yeah, like that's going to happen. Hey, look, a flying pig!

Hi guys. Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I've been pretty darned busy, what with school, karate, RPing, etc. But I'm back now, and fully intend to start writing daily updates again. Like this one for example.

New Layout

You may have noticed that I've changed the layout of my blog. I was getting tired of the old layout, so I've decided to go with something more anime. This current layout is just a temp though, as I'm still looking for a better one. If you know where I can find one, e-mail me at shadowsofvalhalla@gmail.com and let me know.

My Art

Allow me, for a moment, to direct your attention to some of my latest digital art. All of it is done with GIMP and a trial version of Photoshop CS3.

EDIT: I've had to delete the individual links, as they were too long and actually blotted out part of the sidebar. But you can still find all those pictures and more at the following link:

Wake Me Up When This Math Class Ends

Right. Well, I've been back to school for about a month now, and I've gotten to know my teachers a bit better. So, here's the 411 on professors Yokell, Lang, and Mogan-Vallon:

Professor Yokell: I had him for Biology last semester. Great teacher, though he sometimes goes a bit too fast, my notes can't keep up (though, that's probably because I'm a slow writer).

Professor Lang: She's ... well, she knows what she's doing, that's clear enough. But she rubs me the wring way sometimes, I'm not quite sure why.

Professor Mogan-Vallon: AKA M-V. She's a great teacher. She's very helpful, for one thing. Also, she not only teaches us the math, but also how to use a graphing calculator.

Right, that's it for now. I'm trying to figure out how to post results from Quizilla without cutting off the edges, I'll let you know if I make any progress on that. Also, look forward to my report on Anime Boston, coming up in a month or so.

Ciao!

Back to School

Well, after over a month off for Christmas, I'm finally getting back to college. I'm now going every weekday, at varying times (usually in the morning). I'm also planning on joining both a new Leadership Program and the Student Government Association (SUGA). So, things are going to get a bit more busy for me this semester. I'm going to a party on Saturday and a fair at the college on Monday, I'll let you all know how that goes. Meanwhile, quizzes!

I'm Back

Okay, to start off, I'm sorry for going so long without an update. I was preoccupied with school, and after finals ended I was preoccupied with sleeping, etc. But the good news is, I think I got a B+ for both my classes in my first semester. I know I did for Photography, and I'll find out soon for Biology.

Now, I don't have a lot to talk about right now, so here to entertain you now are some of my quiz results from various Quizilla quizzes. Hope you like them.

Which PPG are you?
