A Midsummer Night's Dream

I went to see A Midsummer Night's Dream tonight, performed by Voyagers (for those of you who don't know, Voyagers is a homeschool co-op I attended for several years (am I the only one who finds a homeschool co-op an oxymoron? Anywho...)).

Now, at first I was disappointed that I wasn't in the play (I had to drop out as college interfered with their schedule), but disappointment quickly gave rise to enjoyment, as they play was very well executed. The Rude Mechanics were especially good, especially Peter, a good friend of mine. He's a real ham.

There were a couple minor glitches, but they only served to make the funny parts even funnier, especially when a piece of scenery nearly fell down ("We're not trying to destroy your house!"). And best of all, everyone had fun. The only thing to really regret was that I got my snacks before they went on sale (4 for a dollar!).

Quotes of the day:

"Thus, thus, thus, thus am I dead, thus am I fled."

"Help! I'm being mugged by fairies!"

Battle of the Bands

So, I went to see the annual Battle of the Bands at MCC College tonight, and boy was it loud! There were 8 bands in total, and each one had 15 minutes to play. As it turned out, an old friend of mine had a band playing in the Battle, which was pretty cool. They're called Nocturnal Sunshine, check them out on Myspace. One of the bands was even giving away free copies of their CD, which I picked up (naturally).

I'd love to give y'all a breakdown of each band, but it's late, and my bed calls to me. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe not. We'll see, once I've got my hearing back.

My Old Blog

Wow.

So here I am, surfing the net as usual. When suddenly I remember an old blog I had, back in 2006. So I go there to check it out, and guess what? It's still there.

So, if any of you are interested in seeing some of my older blog posts, check it out at (http://project-omega.spaces.live.com/). Wow, those were some good posts ... I'd like to start posting like that again. Only, you know, more frequently.

New Mirror Site

So, I've put up a Mirror for this blog on Open Diary (hyperlink! whee!). For those of you who don't know, a Mirror is basically a copy of a website, just in case this one goes down somehow. I made this Mirror for 2 reasons.

1) If Blogger goes down / succumbs to the apocalypse, there will be another site from which to continue the fight.

2) People there actually comment. Hello, is a few words a bit too much to ask?

Anyways, have fun checking out my Mirror Site. Just FYI: I only copied the last few posts from this site. Why? Because I'm lazy, that's why. I don't feel like copy-pasting nearly a year's worth of posts. So there.

Mac & Cheese

Fans of my meatball sub recipe are in for a real treat tonight. I present to you, my recipe for macaroni and cheese, the ultimate comfort food!

INGREDIENTS:
8 oz (approx.) of pasta (shells, by preference)
1 lb chedd-arrrrr cheese, shredded
A bit of Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
1 medium onion, chopped
several cloves of garlic
sun-dried tomatoes in olive oil
Bread crumbs
_____________________________________________

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (or 325, if you're using our stove).
Boil water.
Add pasta to boiling water, accidentally use 12 oz instead of 8.
Cook pasta until done.
Place pasta in a baking dish.
Realize you used way too much pasta, store the remainder for later use.
Add cheese.
Chop up the onion.
The fumes, they burn my eyes!
Add the chopped-up onion, washing hands vigorously afterward.
Add sun-dried tomatoes, and some of the olive oil they came in.
Chop up the garlic, and add it to the mixture.
Open the door to vent the onion fumes.
Get yelled at for 'heating the outdoors'.
Realize the baking dish is too small. Oh well, we'll deal.
Mix everything together, sprinkle bread crumbs on top.
Bake in oven for about an hour, constantly worrying about how it will turn out.
Finally, serve and enjoy.

Shock and Amazement!

What's so exciting, you ask? Is the Large Hadron Collider up and running? Has someone developed a solar panel with 80% efficiency? Have I, the author, finally gotten my hands on a Wii?

No, this is even bigger then that. Today, for the very first time in known history, the MBTA bus actually arrived on time. Not 5 minutes late, and even better, not 5 minutes early. It actually arrived exactly when it was supposed to. I know, amazing, right? Right? My life suddenly feels like it has ... order.

Now if only they can manage to duplicate today's extraordinary feat.

Yeah, like that's going to happen. Hey, look, a flying pig!

Funny Videos

This has got to be, at the same time, the funniest, cutest, and most awkward video I've seen in quite a while.

Seriously, those kids can be vicious.

Busy like a buzzing bee

Hi guys. Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I've been pretty darned busy, what with school, karate, RPing, etc. But I'm back now, and fully intend to start writing daily updates again. Like this one for example.
